Since Wednesday, my inbox has been stuffed with emails about my review of The Constant Gardener, a film that I didn't care for nearly as much as most mainstream critics. For those interested in getting in on the (sometimes funny, sometimes frightening) discussion about Fernando Meirelles' film about Big Pharma in Big Africa, check out my write-up below, along with my thoughts on Andrew Niccols' gunrunning saga Lord of War and this weekend's two new stupidfests, The Transporter 2 and A Sound of Thunder.
This weekend:
The Constant Gardener (filmcritic.com)
The Transporter 2 (Slant magazine)
A Sound of Thunder (Slant magazine)
In the future:
Lord of War (Slant magazine)
Touch the Sound (Slant magazine)
Daltry Calhoun (Slant magazine)
As always, there are also some new site reviews posted below, for Club Dread, The Beyond, and Slumber Party Massacre II.
I read 7 reviews an found yours the hardest to understand. We don't have to go to Africa to find poor standing around with no idea of how to help themselves - look at New Orleans!
